My2QTpies wrote: we've got a suction plate but DD can and will lift it up so its not that great. DS did this also so our rule is if they throw it on the floor then we pick it up (we do this 3 times) then if it ends up on the floor again thats it no more and we take it as a sign they are finished. DS was just a phase and he no longer does it, I think he stopped soon after his 1st b'day when he started using a fork.
Sometimes (quite often) DS won't even try things and early on in the meal he will throw things over the side. I had thought maybe take DS out of the highchair and it be the end of the meal when DS does this, but he would be so hungry as he will have a bite of banana (his first thing) and just throw it straight off. Did you take you DS out early on in the meal if he threw things?
